Seán Creamer

Sean Creamer is an electrician at ESB’s generating station in Ardnacrusha in County Clare. He is a native of Portroe in County Tipperary and his interest in politics goes back to his childhood when his family were involved in the trade union movement in Nenagh. In fact the local branch of the Labour party is named after his late uncle, Denis O’Donnell. Sean campaigned for many years with the former Labour TD, John Ryan and he is deeply involved in many local organisations including GAA groups, community and drama associations. Over the years he has also been involved in many staff events at Ardnacrusha going back to the days of Tops of the Town. Following the introduction of the dual mandate Sean was co-opted on to the local council in Nenagh when Senator Kathleen O’Meara had to rescind her seat on the Council. Sean successfully ran for election in June of this year and says he has many issues to fight on behalf of his constituents. [2003 online]
