Boundary

Newly formed in the 1998 review and after only the one election in 2002, this constituency sees significant changes with the addition of Palmerston Village and Palmerston West from Dublin West, and an increase from three to four seats. The constituency now contains all of the Clondalkin and Lucan LEAs (apart from a small part of Clondalkin Monastery to the east of the M50 motorway which is in Dublin South Central), and the Rathcoole and Saggart DEDs from Tallaght South.
